LNBF DESIGNS | Soft Bamboo Fashion for Him & Her

written by LUKE April 28, 2017

When I first tried on my shirt from LNBF(Leave Nothing But Footprints) I couldn’t believe how soft and expensive it felt. LNBF (Leave Nothing But Footprints) garments are made using viscose bamboo which is a lightweight, breathable fabric making their clothes feel luxe and look amazing.

Viscose Bamboo

Bamboo is a fast growing plant which requires a low amount of water to maintain and absolutely no pesticides. Bambo also yields 10x more per acre than more commonly used cotton. These are just a few of the reason why bamboo is one of the most sustainable plants in the world. LNBF garments use the viscose from bamboo fiber which is certified organic by the OCIA.  As soon as you put on a piece of LNBF garments you will fall in love with the soft luscious fabric, it feels expensive, drapes beautifully and really stands apart from other pieces. This was the first thing Jill said when she put hers on and usually men’s shirts aren’t made with stretch and as soft as these are so I was pretty impressed!

Our mission is to empower our generation to create a sustainable world for future generations – starting with the clothes we wear.”

LNBF creates comfortable, luscious wardrobe staples for both guys and gals that are sustainably made. Their fabrics which are either organic cotton or organic bamboo require no chemicals and are purchased from Oeko-Tex 100 certified suppliers. This means that no toxic chemicals have been used in the processing of the fibers.

All clothes are designed in Canada and send to suppliers in China who manufacture the garments. LNBF has chosen to keep their supply chain in China because the majority of the world’s best viscose from bamboo is grown in China. Their garments are milled, dyed and sewn at one spot in China to keep the process simple. When the items are ready they are shipped to Canada.

LNBF does not yet have fair trade certification but are working towards that as their brands grows.  They do not work with sweatshops or unethical manufacturers and do partner with suppliers in cities with proper wage policies in place. They also have third-party audits of their suppliers and manufacturers to ensure safe working conditions and fair wages.

Our Looks

Jill

Brenda U Neck Tee | Size Medium | Color Grey | This T is so soft, and very light weight which is nice for the summer! It fits just long enough to cover my butt and has a very flattering shape. I love it !

Bridget Lounge Dress | Size Medium | Color Black | This dress has become my new favorite. It’s made with thick soft material, and very stretchy. I just wore it as a dress with stockings and boots recently and being that I’m so tall  (5’11”) I usually can’t get away with wearing dress shirts but this one is a great length.

Abby Denim Legging | Size Medium | Color Black | These pants have a really cool detail on the leg that I love. I would recommend sizing down as they do fit looser in the waist area and a bit tighter in the legs. Because I’m 5’11” they also fit a bit shorter than in the pics on their site (darn long legs haha).

Huron V-Neck Tee | Size XL | Color White | When I first felt the fabric I wanted this shirt to be my go-to t-shirt. However, it fits just a little too short for my liking. I’m 6’2 so with certain shirts this can be an issue for me, but if you aren’t as tall or don’t mind the length in Ts then it won’t be a problem. On the plus side the fabric, is just amazing.

Simcoe Crew Neck Long Sleeve | Size XL | Color Blue | Fits longer than the Huron t-shirt and it feels great. Made from soft Viscose. I loved this piece and will wear it often, fits great for me.
