Park and 5th Co | Zero Waste, Special Occasion Fashion

written by JILL April 22, 2017

Nestled on a hip side street in the culture-rich Gastown district of Vancouver BC, Park & Fifth Clothing Co features modern chic dresses and stylish separates for social events. All their garments are sustainably designed and manufactured in Vancouver with a zero waste philosophy.

Luke and I got to pop in and check out their cute space and loved the feel of the shop. Chatting with Zoe we got to know a little more about the brand, their style and the impact they are hoping to leave in the fashion industry.

Their fabrics are handpicked and handcrafted in Vancouver BC. The whole garment manufacturing process is carefully managed and overseen from start to finish.

Zero Waste

When appropriate Park and Fifth purchases end-of-the-roll fabric before it gets tossed in the dump. Even better they have created something called ‘The P&F Pillow Project‘ which uses the waste and leftover scraps from their garment production to create stylish handcrafted pillows. This is a great idea and way to use the left over scraps, and I have to add that the patterns they use for their pillow are so modern and cool (take a look below at the ones we took home!)

Textile waste is such a huge issue, in North America alone we dump 10.5 million tons of clothes to landfills each year(according to value village.) Park and Fifth’s zero waste policy is refreshing and here’s hoping it becomes the standard for the industry in the coming years.

Stylish, High-End Fashion

Park and Fifth’s core vision is to sustainably provide women modern, fashion forward pieces created with a timeless feminine aesthetic.

Park and Fifth provided me the ‘Orpheum Dress’ to review and I love the fit and feel of it! It’s a three-piece versatile dress made with stunning lace detail. This dress is very comfy even though it’s quite tight fitting. The dress makes you feel, edgy and beautiful at the same time and it is available in both black and white.

You can shop their pieces online, or in store at their Vancouver location The Dominion Building #303 – 207 West Hastings St.

The stunning dress featured in this post was given to me for review by Park Fifth Co. All opinions are my own and written honestly. At Sutton + Grove we feature brands and businesses that we truly love and believe fit within a conscious lifestyle. Read More HERE
