Staple items are a must in everyone’s wardrobe and a good pencil skirt and blazer should definitely be on that list. This pencil skirt and blazer in particular are from a US based, sustainable women’s clothing brand called Jackie Lutze .

Jackie Lutze is a female owned clothing brand that provides vegan, plant-based, ethically made, wardrobe essentials like the pencil skirt and blazer.

Sustainability is at the core of their business practices.  They believe clothing should not only look good, but make you feel good and also be good for the planet.

Fashion is one of the largest industries for environmental pollution and the team at Jackie Lutze didn’t want to contribute to that statistic.

They source the best organic, plant-based textiles that are processed and dyed in the most eco-friendly ways. They are even are dedicated to using plastic-free shipping as well.

The Factory

Their desire to provide good, sustainable clothing doesn’t just stop with the materials, it also continues through with HOW and WHO their garments are made by as well. They respect people as much as they respect the planet.

All Jackie Lutze garments are made with love in San Francisco, California at a factory that ensures fair trade and ethical practices for all their employees.

It is also woman owned – talk about boss babe power!

PENCIL SKIRT

The classic pencil skirt is an office wardrobe staple. This one is available in both black as I am featuring here or grey. It pairs well with the Natalie Blazer (which I also am featuring) as a nice business suit.

FABRIC: The black pencil skirt is made from 100% Linen on the outer material, and the lining is 100% cotton.

The grey pencil skirt is made from a blend of 55% Hemp & 45% Cotton on the outer material, and the lining is 100% cotton.

FIT:  I am wearing a size 12 in the skirt and I usually wear a size 10 in most other cases. I did have to size up one size as it runs a bit small. I’d recommend the same especially since there isn’t any stretch in the material.

I really love how high it sits and the pockets are nicely placed and flattering.

STYLE: I chose to style the skirt with crop tops as I feel it offers the most flattering look in the warmer months.

The first look I went with a more casual sporty vibe with white sneakers, a jean jacket and a light grey crop top.

The second look I went with a more casual beach vibe with black sandals, a stylish crop top, rattan crossbody bag and a straw hat.

Going into fall it could also look good with a light turtleneck tucked in or a cropped sweater too.

NATALIE BLAZER

This blazer is another must have wardrobe staple as it is a very versatile piece to have in your closet.  The blazer is available in both black as I am featuring here or grey. It pairs well with the pencil skirt (featured above) as a nice business suit.

FABRIC: The black Natalie Blazer is made from 100% Linen on the outer material, and the lining is 100% cotton.

The grey Natalie Blazer is made from a blend of 55% Hemp & 45% Cotton on the outer material, and the lining is 100% cotton.

The buttons on the blazer are natural corozo.

FIT:  I am wearing a size 10 in the blazer and I usually wear a size 8/10 or M/L in most tops. It’s a fitted look and forms nicely to the body.

STYLE: This blazer can go with so many different outfits!

The first look I went with a more casual everyday vibe with white sneakers, light blue jeans and a white t-shirt.

The second look I went for a dark, rocker chic vibe with vegan leather leggings, combat boots, crop tank top and a black vegan leather backpack.

The third look I went with a summery chic vibe with a pair of tan mules, mini dress, rattan bag and a straw hat.
